Andre Middleton

Upon graduating from Marylhurst University in 1999 Andre Middleton set his sights upon becoming a groundbreaking filmmaker in New York City.  While he immersed himself in the fast paced world of freelance production Andre also volunteered with the Creative Artist Workshops. As a teaching artist Andre shared the joy of the creative process with children that were living in. New York homeless shelters.
In 2004 Andre returned to school to become a special education certified teacher. After moving to Seattle, Andre became a freelance editor and producer for Scan tv in the fall of 2007. By the summer of 2008 Andre was teaching his first Youth Out Loud workshop at YMI. He has a passion for media literacy and for helping young people navigate an ever expanding media landscape.
